I want to get a smart home lighting system without spending too much, is that possible, and if yes, what should I get?

The cheapest smart home lighting system is to keep your existing lights, and simply replace all the globes with smart globes.

The other thing is to replace your light switches and dimmers with smart switches. This is also a very inexpensive way of doing it.
