I think that would definitely be LED globes.

Definitely LED globes. Apart from being then greenest in terms of low energy consumption (10% of traditional globes), LEDs also have huge lifespan (10 years!), best lighting (high CRI).

LEDs also have no toxic materials like mercury or sodium.

LEDs also release much less heat, which is fantastic for greenhouse effect.

Agree LEDs are very eco-friendly. Very energy efficient and no toxic elements.

LEDs are massively eco-friendly compared to halogens, incandescents and compact fluorescent lamps (CFLs).

LEDs use about 25%-90% less energy than old style globes.

If you love the planet then ONLY buy LEDs! They might be a but more expensive but eco-friendly and last much longer.

Apart from LEDs, also look out for lights made from recycled material such as recycled met, glass, and natural material such as cloth and wood.

Thinking a bit outside the box, the ultimate eco-friendly 'globe' is of course the sun... so use it as much as possible and build your surrounding so it can use the sun.

One way to be very eco-friendly is using motion sensors, and also to remember to switch lights off when not in use.

The other way to be eco-friendly is to buy dimmable lights (even some LEDs are now dimmable) and use it on the lowest practical setting.
