I would suggest either warm white, or LED fitting that take globes (and in that case buy warm white globes).

If your house in 15km from the coast, then make sure it is marine grade.

Ensure your cieling light has an integrated driver which helps to save a light from power fluctuations.

Look for a high quality long life LED light - say with 50,000 hours.

I would strongly recommend online stores - the reason is that their range is often 10 x or even 100 x any physical store, and their prices are much better as they do not have the overheads.

One thing not to trust is your electrician - remember they are electricians not lighting designers or experts, and often they get a kickback for buying from certain stores.

Apart from the usual LED ceiling lights such as oysters, pendants and downlights, consider also LED spotlights and strip lights.

Don't go for online stores with the lowest prices. You get what you pay for (that may be poor warranty or service etc).

Look for a reasonable number and level of reviews for the store you buy from.

Buy from specialist lighting stores, not from homeware stores or supermarkets. Specialist stores know what they are doing and will ensure you get the right products.
