I have always considered solar lights unsuitable for commercial use - is that a valid assumption?
That used to be true, but no longer so.
There are a lot of commercial grade solar lights these days that are:
- Very long lasting (5+ years)
- Energy efficient (they can illuminate for up to 7 days even when it is cloudy)
- Extremely bright (even for billboards)
I have seen a lot of commercial grade solar lights being used by businesses very successfully, so I would say go for it - just make sure they are commercial grade not cheap junk.
Solar lights are definitely used by a lot of businesses these days, due to the fact that the quality of these lights has gone up so much.
This is particularly so in areas where it is difficult or impossible to get get wiring.
