I am wondering if someone can suggest lights in the office which can help avoid eye strain?

Eye strain in the office is not actually caused by the type of lighting, but in fact by having poor lighting - to bright, too dim, or too much contrast. Also eye strain is caused by too much reflection, often through windows and bad monitor screens.

Having computer monitors in dark rooms can cause a lot of eye strain.

Old fashioned fluorescent tubes, particularly if they are slightly flickering, is a major cause of eye strain.

To avoid eye strain, try to have more than just overhead lighting. For example, install desk lamps and floor lamps to provide ambient light.

Office workers than need to read a lot of document should have task lighting (normally desk lamps), with an easily adjustable neck.

One of the worst causes of eye strain in the office is glare.

Reflected glare includes glare from furniture, windows, shiny floors, walls etc.

Direct glare is either from overly-bright lights or monitors.
