My outdoors don't really need outdoor lights, so should I bother to even install them? Ideas welcome on the topic...

Hi

Absolutely!!!!!

Outdoor lights make a beautiful addition to any home, and they increase the safety and security. But most of all they are a very easy way to provide ideal atmosphere to your garden at night.

Don't make the common mistake of assuming that outdoor lights are unnecessary. Even if they are not critical for security, I would say every property needs them.

Definitely I would recommend to consider outdoor lights, particularly on walkways or paths if you have a garden. You can live without them but your property will be much poorer for that decision.

Definitely! Outdoor lights give you:

- Beauty - they provide perfect  mood lighting to your garden.

- Security - with motion sensors

- Safety - you can light up paths, stairs and dark corners to avoid falls

I recommend to use outdoor lights to enhance any interesting features, which can be statues or even trees and shrubs.

Note: solar lights these days have become very efficient and powerful. so consider these.

In terms of exterior design, there is almost nothing you can do better than install outdoor lighting.

I would strongly suggest, however, that you use a professional lighting designer.

You can always start out small eg just install a porch light and a couple of up down lights to see if you like them.
