An average of between $80 to $100 per light is reasonable.

Motion sensors will cost more, about $150 each.
Lamp posts are also more expensive, about $250 to $450 each.

You need to also include the cost of labor, but if you are just talking about light fittings:
- A lower grade of light will cost between $80 to $150 (eg up down light, wall mounted spotlight, coach light)
- A higher grade / higher quality light will be between $200 and $300 each

Most home gardens will need about 20 lights which will cost about $2500 for total job.

If you include transformers and electrician, then the TOTAL cost of about 20 lights is approx $3500-$4000.
