Every interior designer than I know uses lighting as part of their roolset - so definitely yes!
Check online for designer light, particularly pendant lights and chandeliers.

Table lamps and floor lamps are becoming very fashionable as fashion accessories (sorry for the pun!).
Also outdoor lights, particularly in brass and copper.

I would recommend pendant lights made from wood. Stunning!!!!!!
