I am looking to buy some globes and see that there are some light globes that are more expensive but have a higher energy efficiency. Is that worth it?

My opinion is that so long as the light globes are LED, you don't need to look at the energy consumption rating. All LEDs are extremely efficient, so "better energy consumption" is simply misleading advertising.
