Can someone give me tips please for choosing correct lighting for warehouses
Make sure your focus on two things simultaneously:
1. Safety (avoid trips, falling, slipping)
2. Productivity (cool white or daylight white, no shadow pools, good brightness)
I have used three types of lights in warehouses: LED panel lights, LED batten lights and high bay lights.
Any of those are good choices, noting that high bay lights are very seriously bright.
You can buy lights that will have suspensions, bringing the light down, as obviously the height of the ceiling will dictate placement of lights.
You should get a photometric report done which will show you the brightness levels across the warehouse, this will ensure a good placement of lights.
Important to ensure that the illumination of the lights you put into place overlaps, otherwise you will get bizarre shadows.
Even though modern warehouse lights are almost always LED, which consumes a lot let energy, they will still end up costing quite a bit in energy consumption - so consider having timers.
