I am thinking of using lamps for adding that extra oomph to my home ... is that a good idea?

Absolutely! You can use all sorts of lamps including table lamps and floor lamps, and they come in all sort of sizes and shapes for fabulous effects.

Agree and I would add that if you can use recycled material in the lamps, the effect is even better and the lamps become talking points as they are then reallly interesting.

Hand made lamps are also stunning, if they are made of glass.
