By jack_wood 8 years ago Chandeliers that point up illuminate by reflecting the light from teh ceiling, which works if you have a white ceiling. It is also better for diffuse mood lighting. Chandeliers that point down will provide more light because the lighting is direct, but they might shine directly into your eyes.
